Clearly we all had the wrong idea when Chris Brown informed the ladies that he would take them down. Instead of serenading them in the bedroom, he seems to prefer beating them in his car.
I have to say, I'm somewhat disappointed in Chris. Granted, I'm not a huge fan, but this was a dumb move - for anyone. Michael Phelps has a better chance of salvaging his career and recovering his fan base after what he did.
The big question now is what provoked Chris to lay hands? [For those that don't know, the term "lay hands" is code for beating up someone]. The rumor now is that Rihanna gave Chris genital herpes - or worse. I'm starting to believe this might be true since Rihanna wants to end the investigation about the situation; a smart move for Rihanna if she wants to remain "the victim" in all of this. She'll be sure to gain a lot of support, and even more fans if - what may be - the truth is kept under wraps. However, if the fight was sparked over her giving Chris the herpes, then things may turn around; and Chris will be seen as "the victim."
Now, I'm not saying that Chris was right for opening up a can of whoop @$$ on Rihanna if she gave him herpes, but I had to think, myself, if I would lay hands on a woman for giving me an incurable disease. I'm gonna say "no," but there's no doubt I'd be upset. I believe it was a combination of stress and anger that made Chris snap. The child is only 19 after all....
